Offered here is a vintage Woods Bicentennial glass paperweight, handcrafted by Oscar “Skip” Woods of Clayton, New Jersey, to commemorate the United States Bicentennial celebration in 1976.
This collectible round art glass paperweight features a Revolutionary War soldier flanked by two American flags, encircled by the inscription “UNITED STATES OF AMERICA BI-CENTENNIAL.” Made from layers of clear, red, and blue glass, each piece was individually numbered and signed, with this example bearing the number 531. Marked “Woods 1975–1976” on the underside.
