Offered is a beautiful early-to-mid 20th century jewelry dresser box crafted in an ornate Rococo Revival style inspired by late 19th-century French décor. Beneath the glass lid is a reproduction print of Le Boudoir (1774), the celebrated Rococo interior scene originally designed by Swiss artist Sigmund Freudenberger and later engraved by French artist Pierre Maleuvre. The artwork depicts an elegant aristocratic woman reclining within a lavishly decorated French salon.
The box features a molded wood frame with a gilded finish, hinged lid, and vanity-style interior with inset mirror and divided compartments for jewelry and trinkets. Minor gilt loss, some mirror oxidation, and gentle wear to the corners add authentic vintage character consistent with age. A wonderful collectible for lovers of romantic revival décor, vanity accessories, and French-inspired decorative arts.
